Love the daily 2 taco special for $6.99, the place isn't the prettiest restaurant I've been too but who cares when the food is this tasty and affordable.

The only redeeming quality about this place is that's it's at the corner of University and Georgia. So I get to sit down with my food, peer out into their large windows, and watch the traffic go by as they almost hit the bold and stupid pedestrians who leisurely jaywalk across the street thinking that the cars will see them just in the nick of time. It's a fun way to pass the time as I waited 15 minutes for 2 tacos to be made. Speaking of tacos, I ordered their Carne Taco combo. It was confusing because they show 2 tacos in the picture menu but list the number 3 below it. I asked the cashier if it's 2 or 3 tacos for $6.99 and she said 3. I waited 15 minutes before they finally made it (it wasn't that busy) and they only gave me 2. I would've brought this up with the cashier but their English is limited and I didn't think I'd get anywhere with them. The tacos are okay but I would suggest going next door to El Taco Loco, which always seems dead, but their tacos are much better and you can order any type you like without being pigeonholed into a combo set. Btw- why on earth do they name it a diner and bakery because it's neither. *Shrug*

This place is horrible; the environment, staff and food. Even though the pictures posted on its window looks appealing, don't try it.

Food was bad, no, it was terrible. I don't cook often but I'm sure I can cook a meat better. Expensive... $13 a plate. Nobody was in the place but they don't mind in cleaning the tables.

I do not know where the name came from but it was not a diner, nor a bakery. I regretting going almost immediately. The staff was not friendly and didn't speak English well. Our order got messed up. But it all honest, the food was not bad and the veggies were fresh.

The food is classic road-side mexican... but it's done pretty well. So don't go in here looking for Oyamel style food... but if your putsing around and are in the mood for some chicken taco's or fried tilapia... This place will hit the spot.. The only down-side... is that it's priced a little high for the quality...take each dish down 2 bucks... and you'd be 4 star

First off, this place is not a diner or a bakery. This place is really a cafeteria style buffet bar with a couple of desserts fresh out of the box. If you are in Wheaton and you must eat I would recommend "El Pollo Rico" around the corner. Great chicken for a decent price.

My family and I stopped by this weekend. The place is very bright and cheery. The service staff were very friendly and willing to explain items on the menu. The menu is pretty varied: pupusas, yucca, breakfast food, hamburgers, etc. From what we tried, it was pretty good. I hope this place does well! I'd go back in order to support a local business.

This place reminds me of the caf at my dorm in college. The food wasn't that great. Served out of hot boxes with glass covering them. They had a wide ranging menu but didn't seem like they did anything to perfection. They tried to be friendly and on my way out and told me that they'd do better next time. It was clean. Hopefully as they age they will get better.

Do not confuse this with another Samantha's that has pupusas. This is another Samantha's. It is an Asian-run business of food that is not clearly South American, North American, or Asian. The owners seem friendly but it was difficult to understand her recommendations, not just for me (I pride myself on being able to do this generally) but for all of us in line. We ended up getting steak and cheese subs and they were made to order. The rolls were just the right size and they got my special requests right. The fries were hot and crispy. Coke products and lots of other bottled drinks. Park in the small lot in the back.

Expansive menu, I mean there are over 40 items with pictures in addition to another 40 without pictures in addition to items behind the glass that are not on the menu... I have been there a few time and most of the time it was great. I generally go there for brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Some of the food might be very authentic for non-natives to appreciate, but over all I liked all what I have eaten there with exception of the Tamal, they were awful.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
